Using vertical space is the way to go when working with less square footage. Hanging baskets can be used in the entryway for any items you need to grab on your way out the door or in a nursery or kids room for extra toys.

2. Wall Shelves

This is another example of using vertical space to increase opportunities for storage. If you are short on surface space but still want to display some favourite items, this provides that opportunity to decorate. Wall shelves can work in any room from your kitchen (add your favourite cookbooks, canisters with dried goods, a plant, etc.) to your home office (add a framed photo, a small basket to store office supplies, etc.) 

3. Storage Bench

Storage benches are a great way to add storage without sacrificing style. They can be used in an entryway, at the foot of a bed, or anywhere you have an empty wall (e.g. hallway). If you enjoy thrift shopping, an antique chest would also work well.

If you want to increase the capacity of your closet and make it beautiful, slim velvet hangers are for you. In addition to allowing you to fit more clothes in your closet and preventing clothes from slipping, they also create a consistent and stylish look.

5. Wall Hammock

Decorating a small nursery or kids room? A wall hammock can turn an unused corner into an opportunity to add both toy storage and some boho style to your space.
